We will be kicking spring off early (we can't wait) with a 'shellabration' of the bounty our local waterways have to offer. We will be showcasing oysters from 3 different bodies of water...
The Delaware Bay- Harvested from where the bay and ocean waters combine, these oysters are plump with a firm meat. Briny, sweet, nutty; delightfully complex!
The Chesapeake Bay- a classic. Plump, with a deep cup and full body. Harvested from the heart of the Chesapeake, these oysters are very mild, but meaty with a low salt content.
The Choptank River - Robust, with a rich and creamy consistency; these oysters have a sweet, almost buttery taste. Delicate flavor with just the right amount of salinity.
Free samples of all 3 types of oysters will be available. Oysters will be for sale at the following prices (unshucked):

You will also have the option of purchasing shucked oysters to enjoy on the half shell, $12/13, or you can roast them at our roasting station!
In addition to oysters, Chateau BuDe will be offering wine tastings of 2014 Sauvignon Blanc and glasses & bottles will be for sale throughout the event and our entire inventory of ceramic pots will be on sale for 25% off. This event is free!
This event premiers the newest addition to our local food offerings -- seafood! And what self respecting MD business would tout local seafood without offering The Big C? Yes, CRABS! When crab season gets underway (late April) we will begin offering live crabs for sale! Stay tuned for more information!
